Providing food & other essential support

Supporting people out of poverty

FOOD HUB location:

10 Filwood Broadway, Knowle, Bristol.
FOODTURES site(s) locations:
The Rock, Off Allison Road, Brislington, Bristol.

25% of children in Bristol are living in poverty. 40% of children living in London boroughs are living in poverty. This is not okay and it really matters to us all - for many different reasons. We are in the midst of an unfolding human crisis beyond anything we have witnessed in living memory.
The Matthew Tree Project was launched in Stokes Croft, Bristol in June 2011. In April 2012 we moved our main central Bristol Centre to St Jude's, and are now well established across Bristol, feeding and helping over 750 people each month. This is increasing rapidly as new client referrals is consistently running ahead of cases being closed.
TMTP Well-being & Support Centre network is growing and we currently have four fully operational Centres and four more in the planning phase:

We are in need of groups or organisations to partner with in the opening of FOODStORE Well-being & Support Centre's in north Bristol and South Gloucestershire.  A Matthew Tree Project FOODStORE Centre builds relationship and understanding with it's clients over time and in so doing provides longer term support. The holistic approach is designed to address the underlying causes of the poverty situation a person or family find themselves in and to empower people to confront and overcome the barriers that are holding them back.

Please get in touch if you would like to partner with is in this vital work to help people out of poverty.
